Jan. 15

Hoorah! Clem had a good night's rest last night. They doubled the new dose of his sleeping aid (two pills within a few hours). He said that he feels much better. No wonder! Let's pray that we've found the right med and dosage that he may continue to have many more restful nights.
Today, Clem will have about 2 1/2 to 3 hours of therapy. Combined with his new medicines, he should sleep again tonight. Also due to the therapy, he is having a good deal of soreness. Of course, this is good because he will become stronger because of the exercise, but bad because it may slow him down. But you know Clem, not too many things deter him from his exercise. Not to mention the fact that he wants to go home ASAP.
I'll write again later today. We were able to see a doctor that I requested to see earlier late last night and I will post about it later. May God bless and keep you. DV

Dear "DV": 1-15-08
Thank God. So thrilled that Clem was able to sleep. I finally got to sleep about 5:30 am (I do that ever so often) and prayed for rest for him several times during the night. Know you and lots of others were sending up the same prayer. Sounds like they have hit on the right "formula". What a "simple" blessing sleep/rest can be. And, of course, we are all so glad your blogging is "back" - it's like we get to share with you both daily - allowing us to give thanks with you as well as remain "constant in prayer" for you both. We pray that every little "ray of light and hope" brightens the path and gives a mental and spiritual boost as well as well reason for deserved sighs of relief. I loved your closing Bible verse - isn't God's word (Word) wonderful -our sure and steady sustenance, the only true light that illumines us and dispels whatever darkness would try to envelope us. Praise be to God for His eternal watch care over His children - and especially over Clem and you during this special time in your lives. As always we stand with you. Beverly Bennett

Dear Debora,
We learned Saturday the Clem had been moved to Monroe. You asked why are we surprised? I guess because we are human, but at least we do recognize that we serve an AWESOME and AMAZING wonderful God and we thank he that he has chosen to allow Clem to stay with y'all and to allow him such a speedy and wonderful recovery. When your in the throes of it all, sometimes it doesn't seem so speedy. But you know it is. Wow. We are praying for y'all. I'm praying for you. Take time to heal and rest. You have a long haul and patience will wear thin at times. But when it does, just remember to pick up and start over again. Again, we are human, but God will give us amazing strength and power to endure.
i'm so glad Clem got rest. I'm so glad you had the weekend for rest.
This blog is really allowing people to pray for you and Clem and your specific needs. Keep you the good work and strong fight.
Love to y'all
Patricia and Kevin Day.
