Is it still New Years Day? Whew! After a brief rest, we returned to the hospital. Clem was visiting with family and his breathing had improved in our absence. However, by the end of the day, Clem was back to short, frequent breaths. The head of surgery in the trauma unit and two other trauma doctors stopped by to check on Clem. They determined that Clem needed to return to the ICU. This was a relief for us. It was very difficult to watch Clem ourselves. Clearly he needed more more tests run on his lungs, breathing treatments and to be watched by experienced medical personnel. So we're back in the ICU and we all believe this is a good thing for Clem.
Please to continue to pray for Clem's lungs to clear, for his left arm (the doctors will be taking a closer look at his elbow) and for his peace of mind. Keep your eyes focused on the prize, Clem's restored health. May all that we do glorify God. DV

Hi DV,
I am praying for my buddy hard as I can. I know the power of prayer can work wonders, and as many people that know and love Clem he will be just fine. It may be a long hard ordeal ,but his and your faith in Jesus will make it more beraable. I had eleven surgeries on my left leg before the doctor agreed with me to amputate. I just hope he dosen't get any infection in his arm. My wife and myself are praying for you guys every day and understand what you are going through. I don't know you but I love Clem like a brother. The time we worked together was alot of fun. I would walk in the control room and Clem never failed to make me laugh. I don't know what else to say but keep the faith and know there are alot of people praying for ya'll.

Hi Debora. I just wanted to let you know that I read your blog each morning to check on Clem. I asked my Sunday School class to pray for him and your family. Thanks so much for keeping everyone updated!

Hi DV,
This is Gordon again. My e-mail is gapple1806@yahoo.com. I am in the office in Houston right now. The Lord has really blessed my family and myself. I have a good job here in Houston and my leg is doing great. I don't know how much therapy he will have on his arm but the leg prosthesis is a breeze, hardly any therapy. He will be walking in no time. People can't tell my leg has been amputated unless I am wearing shorts.
We are still praying for Clem's fast recovery. Did Clem tell you we are Presbyterian also?
Tell Clem I love him and think of him often.
Gordon
